Will Brennan – Interest (ft. CUZ Lightyear, Dre Moon, ManMan Savage)

by .

PRODUCER: SkuFL
DIRECTOR: The Brave Cat

Dim Mak Records’ rapper Will Brennan made waves with his latest release “Interest” featuring CUZ Lightyear, Dre Moon, and ManMan Savage and now he’s back with some hazy visuals for it. Directed by The Brave Cat the video is simple with an interesting twist. Here’s what Brennan had to say about it when speaking to Complex: “When we set out to make this video, we wanted to create a scene that would be the ideal place where our music would be heard. And we thought that a group of girls hotboxing their car would be a fitting visual to this song. We didn’t see the sinister turn at the end coming until it happened.” Enjoy the visuals above!

Nuri – Sometimes (ft. Kilo Kish, TT the Artist, Alexa Lima)

PRODUCER: Nuri
LATEST RELEASE: Lightning EP | Stream

Pro Club member Nuri linked up with Kilo Kish, TT the Artist, and Alexa Lima for his latest release “Sometimes”. This track combines singing, rapping, and an upbeat tempo that just makes me wanna dance all night. The record came about during the Bonnaroo festival a few months back and was recorded at Red Bull Music Academy’s on-site studio, here’s Nuri’s recollection of how the track was created:

We had all met the night before when first arriving at the Red Bull camp grounds and the next morning, I went into one of the empty studios and began working on the record. Alexa Lima had walked in the room and I asked her to work on the record with me. We picked some sounds together and she played that creepy staccato melody. I had spoken to Kish the night before about getting on a record together so when the beat was about halfway done, Kish, came into the room and started writing to it. Kish thought it would be great to add a rap verse at the end, so we asked TT the Artist, to finish off the track. We wrote and recorded the entire track in about three hours. When people work on music together for the first time it’s not always a walk in the park, but we all kinda just clicked that day and just made something that was natural and organic for us.

Take a listen above and catch Nuri this Saturday, August 15 in Tampa on the producer panel at TAKEOFFxLANDING.

Will Brennan – Interest (ft. CUZ Lightyear, Dre Moon, ManMan Savage)

PRODUCER: SkuFL
PREMIERED BY: The FADER

Dim Mak Records’ only rapper Will Brennan is making waves with his latest release, “Interest”. The rapper enlists CUZ Lightyear, Dre Moon, and ManMan Savage who accompany him on the record each adding their own flavor and smoothing out the overall sound of the record with SkuFL handling the production. When describing the meaning of the record to The FADER, Brennan said: “This is a song about the spark that happens when you meet someone that you actually enjoy sharing conversation and silence with. You can find them in a crowded room and they pique your interest. The song tries to capture that feeling of when you don’t want this first meeting to stop cause you don’t want to worry about what happens next.” Take a listen above and be sure to check out his previous record Smoke & Mirrors and catch him performing live this Saturday, August 15 at TAKEOFFxLANDING.

Truly DEF – The Isms (ft. NIKO IS)

PRODUCER: No Keyz
RECORDED/MIXED BY: Extract Studios

Truly DEF has made his way onto our pages with his latest single “The Isms” released through Extract Studios featuring fellow Orlando native NIKO IS. The No Keyz produced beat has a very nice intro later transforming into a mellow yet looming sound. Truly DEF jumps right in with hard hitting bars and wordplay although his delivery is placid which blends perfectly with NIKO IS’s raspy and aggressive delivery on the hook. Take a listen above and absorb some of the realness exuded in this track.

Kim – Nomy

PRODUCER: Ayo The Producer

If you weren’t already convinced that Kim is a man of many talents, you can use his latest single “Nomy” as an example. The track feautures some bangin’ production from Ayo The Producer then Kim comes along rapping AND singing about a special lady. Although this record caters more to a female audience, he doesn’t compromise his lyricism and still manages to switch up his flow. The event was hosted by Norma Now and as the show began, we knew it was gonna be one for the books. As the people of Miami came piling in, the show began with performances by Tampa Baes, Drew Swace, Johnny Cinco and sounds provided by Ham Made and STKMUP who set the tone for the night. IndigoChildRick lit up the stage, bringing out Robb Bank$ to perform their new collaboration, “Game Over”. Atlanta native Bankroll Fresh hit the stage next treating the fans to new music and hits such as “Real Trapper” and “Dope Boy Shit”. Two-9 got the crowd hype and wet throwing champagne on them as they performed cuts from their latest mixtape B4FRVR. After a brief intermission, Denzel Curry and the whole C9 collective came to the stage and into the crowd to mob with the people with each member getting a chance to showcase their talent. Hits such as “Darius”, “Yung Ho” featuring a blow-up doll, “Marvelous”, “Ice Age”, “Marilyn Manson”, and a special performance of “Threatz” featuring Yung Simmie on a scooter were performed . The final act of the night was Metro Boomin who had the  crowd breaking through the barricades as they went nuts to hits by Wacka Flocka, Chief Keef, Migos, FutureYoung Thug, Crime Mob, and ironically Drake followed by some Meek Mill. The last session of the show featured a very interesting twerking contest with dollar bills flying through the air and the crowd cheering with excitement as the show came to an end . Familiar faces such as Twelve’Len, Prez P, Bizzy Crook, and 808 Mafia also came out to support and were seen hanging around throughout the show.
