Recap: The First Annual ‘CROWD CONTROL’

The First Annual ‘Crowd Control’ event presented by Open Windows was one of the most anticipated events of the summer. Taking place yesterday at Wet Bar, the city came out to see some of Miami’s best local talent put on a hell of a show. With performances by Poor Amerika, Dxddy Mxck Dynasty Boys, Slumps, Floda, Stan-Li, Abstract, and many more, the energy in the building quickly escalated leading to insane mosh pits and crowd surfing. Despite the event being called ‘Crowd Control,’ the crowd could not be tamed and by the end of the night somehow the stage was broken. As the event came to an end, it’s safe to say ‘Crowd Control’ was a success with nothing but good music, good vibes, and good people.

Schama Noel – Get Your Paper, Grind Real Hard

After teasing fans on Twitter and Snapchat with snippets of unreleased music, Orlando native Schama Noel unleashes some new heat encouraging you to “Get Your Paper, Grind Real Hard”. He dedicates this record to all the ambitious people out there as a reminder that they can have it all. Serving as nothing more than a messenger, he expresses that love is the only hope and sends shots to Dylan Roof. Dallas represents on the production with the beat handled by Whereisalex which has a very nice chime to it, however CLBRTY comes in around the 2:05 mark transitioning it into something much darker. With his unique flow and lyricism, Schama Noel is quickly on the rise making a name for himself and putting his city on the map. He announced on Twitter that his EP will be dropping within the next two weeks so stay tuned and be sure to stream the track above.

In the Fluid Capture Limited produced cut, the free-spirited Trinidadian singer casually wanders through the Tropix enjoying the beauty of her hometown. With production handled by DanielD’artiste, the beat combines an R&B style with mellow infusions giving it a very mystical and exquisite sound. The melodic tone and slow delivery of the lyrics highlight the delicacy of Nil Bambu’s celestial voice as she croons through the track flawlessly. Rap gawd and SoFloHipHop founder Xali can’t feel his face in his latest visual for “Marijuana Cloud”. The DayKuul directed cut features Xali and the homies rolling up and healing evils through marijuana clouds as he smokes it up. The blurred and distorted images in different hues throughout the video emphasizes the effects of being elevated giving off a hazy vibe. But, don’t get lost in the fog because Xali still brings the heat with his lyricism spitting knowledge and truth in this ElmVision produced track.
