UPCOMING PROJECT: The RED EP

Xali has been making noise throughout South Florida for quite some time now and it has yet to cease. Recap: The Hangout featuring Xavier Wulf LIVE in Miami

PRODUCED/SHOT BY: MarsMarsMars

Yesterday music and art fans from all walks of life made their way to Nugbrand in Downtown Miami to experience Memphis rapper Xavier Wulf at ‘The Hangout’ presented by Oh Well Ariel, Oyabun, and Darth Society. I arrived and it was hot, the air was sticky, and the place was packed from wall to wall. Shortly, performances began and DxddyMxck got the crowd turnt with his wild performance style, feet stomping and arms wailing as he went into “Captivating” and “Party”. Next up, Members only took the stage capitalizing on the pulsing energy in the building with “fuxk”. They rocked the stage with an 8 year old joining them as everyone sang “OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD, FUCK THAT SHIT”.

After a short intermission, Oyabun surprised the audience with a guest performance, which they showed their appreciation for with great applause. Then, California favorites Daddy Pill$z and Maz P brought their unique swag to Miami with “Bu$$in” and “Regardless” which was refreshing. Back house left a memorable impression throwing money into the crowd before they exited.

And now it was time. The crowd erupted into dog-like chants of “WOO! WOO! WOO!” as they awaited their captain. There he was, Xavier Wulf, dressed in all black, cornrows with black beads at the end, ready to RAGE! He ran through cuts from Blood Shore Season 2, Tundra Boy Season One, Tears On My MPK, and Project X and the place went NUTS. The half-pipe skate ramp that was the stage had his wolves crawling and inching up like zombies as they vigorously rapped with their idol and captured videos. At some point it got too rowdy and the show was plagued by the mic and DJ set getting plugged out every few minutes. But the show must go on, and so it did. When the music went out during “Fort Woe” the crowd rapped the remainder of the song word for word rumbling “I HEAR THESE RAPPERS TALKING SHIT BUT THEY STILL WANNA FEATURE ME,” and I kid you not, the building was vibrating. Even Xavier seemed pleasantly surprised that the crowd knew EVERY WORD TO EVERY SONG and no longer worrying about the technical difficulties, he performed acapella. In admiration for how hard his fans were going he poured water into their mouths to keep them alive between songs. As the show came to an end he departed to a standing ovation, “XAVIER! XAVIER! WOO! WOO! WOO!” then he gave autographs and took pictures before he left.

The show was wild and amazing to say the least but most importantly I am proud to say that I was able to witness single, double, and triple crowd surfs throughout last night. Shout-out to Hollowsquad, the event coordinators, attendees, performers, and whoever had to clean up because the place was trashed. Until next time!

The 7-track EP includes production from Rarest Element, MATHSTIMEJOY, and Mikey DaGift consisting of very dynamic beats. DIRECTOR: Blood Is Bond Films
PROJECT: Carrera Music
RELEASED: August 2014

Miami’s Prez P is no stranger to our pages, and after giving us some insight on why he has the juice in our Florida’s Natural Interview his nonstop grind and work ethic has proved just that. This time around he has awarded us with visuals for the impressive Nuez-produced track “Now You See Me”, which was released on Carrera Music almost a year ago. With all he has accomplished he has remained humble so it’s no surprise that he chose to stick to his roots and take us for a joy ride through the city while sporting a 305 snapback in this Blood Is Bond Films-directed cut. The video has even made it onto MTV Jams so watch it above or catch it on a television near you. Look out for more from Prez P because he’s only getting warmed up.

Will Brennan – Smoke & Mirrors (ft. Madeaux)

by .

PRODUCER: Madeaux
DIRECTOR: Alex Hernandez
PREMIERED BY: The FADER

Will Brennan from Dim Mak Records’ releases some smoky and bleak visuals for his R&B and electronic mash-up “Smoke & Mirrors.” Madeaux assists on the record, providing the amazing production behind the record. When speaking to The FADER, Brennan had this to say regarding the pensive visuals: “This song is about the reality of being alone, the empty feeling that you get when the music stops. We tried to get that emotion across in the video and remind people that there is no one left to impress when you’re all alone.” Take a moment to watch it above and tell us what you think!
