Following the momentum of “Lauderale Boo”, Broward legend in the making, ItsJustMikey, brings in a collection of 954 stars to assist in his first drop of 2022. Today on CitrusRap, the South Florida artist makes his year’s end debut with “Being Honest (Crack Pipe)”, a double feature song of great energy and self assurance, produced by Sakii and SkipOnDaBeat. With Mikey setting the initial tone with the opening verse and then carrying the message further in the second half, as the beat switches. Proving that he can deliver strongly no matter which instrumental is in the spotlight.

ItsJustMikey took action into his own hands to ensure that the track would remain a banger. Mikey also called for assistance from Broward native visual artists, LeAndre Barnett & Perfect, to give a great display of their talents by creating the official cover art, adding to the track’s combustion. Stay alert because he’s looking to make serious noise in the upcoming future with a sound sure to reach much farther than Florida. And it damn sure looks/sounds like he has all of the tools to do so.

Smart Stunnas reign had official become nationally notarized when Miami’s own Pouya released this flowing banger “Get Buck”, produced by Rellim. Originally featured on his mixtape, Baby Bone, paying homage to his inspirations. The man and brand also from Miami, known as Fxrbes, came through with the quality visuals that come along with his strong-held name, to deliver a hypnotizing anthem for moshers and any youth that just enjoys to wild the hell out. While his stardom was continuously growing, this instance catapulting him into the view of nearly every young american. Being featured in publications such Miami New Times & Complex is just the tip of the iceberg after headlining and featuring in nothing less than sold out shows since his uprise at the age of 18. But just from this moment Pouya has solidified himself as one of today’s stars and stage gods. A space for the unique hood baby, anime loving, vice lovers.

On the 7th anniversary of his debut, this Thursday we bring take you back  to South Florida in 2013, when his a wave truly started. September 3rd, 2013 marked the beginning of Denzel Curry’s solo career, outside of his underground breaking family, Raider Klan. The then 18 year old emcee released his debut studio album, Nostalgic 64. Featuring acts such as JK the Reaper, Lil Ugly Mane, Mike G, Nell, Robb Bank$, Stephen A. Clark, and Yung Simmie. A critically acclaimed project that earned major notoriety, including being placed on Pitchfork’s top 10 albums of 2013. Along with that feat, Denzel Curry, along with the help of his artistic brothers, delivered one of Florida’s most influential and memorable tracks of all time with “Threatz”. Featuring Yung Simmie and Robb Bank$, and with cameos from nearly every young Raider Klan member and South Florida people that you need to know. A high energy, battle cry for the youth of Florida. This moment in history shall and will always be remembered, for it helped catapult our proclaimed star into the eyes of the rest of the nation.
