PRODUCERS: Chiveer & King Malcolm Beatz
CREATIVE DIRECTOR: @goodwithsub
STREAM: via Spotify/Apple Music/Tidal

Say hello to the man destined to set Florida ablaze. From the no look releases to the art that he’s constantly featured in, Will Ree$e has been making all of the right moves to keep current fans alert and onlookers interested. All it took was a consistent track record of fye, bar heavy tracks and groundbreaking art. Nearly three minutes of perfection and body moving, the Pine Hills artist, formally known as Will+TheLife, comes back today with the instrumental assist from Chiveer & Malcolm Beatz, for “Out Front”. A head-banging anthem of self reliance, bag securing and snake dodging. Turn your speakers up and jam this until they burst, as you wait for his album BLIND BOY$ DON’T LIE to finally hit the streets.

Florida Fiya – Velasco (Album)

PRODUCERS: Florida Fya, Ricardo Fierro, Caleb Sarikey & Aston Marton
STREAM: via Spotify/Apple Music/Tidal

Florida Fiya has been blessing our site with music since the start of his journey as an emcee. Fort Myers rapper, Florida Fiya has proved before on CitrusRap that he can hold his own on the mic, but Velasco is another excellent showcase of what elite looks like. Velasco is a display of a range of emotions and events that suit the title so well. From fast cars to money making. From psalms of every day life to heartbreak. Florida Fiya using his talents and ear for sound to paint the best picture of “Velasco“. There are tracks for every feeling and opportunity.

No features whatsoever, Florida Fiya continues to show fire in his eyes and a snarl in his growl as he proves why his skills never lie. An 17 track itinerary of pure gas was delivered by the Lee County phenom. Mostly produced by frequent collaborators Dub, the mixtape also features sounds from Ricardo Fierro, Caleb Sarikey, Aston Marton and even Florida Fiya himself.

Tracks like “Major League” shows us versatility with his melodic flows and bashing rhymes. While the Dub produced “Almond Milk” gives a familiar rhythmic and hypnotic flow, it passes all tests of being a banger once you realize that you’ve been head bobbing the entire two minutes. Then you gotta run it back.

It’s safe to say that Florida Fiya is back to make a run at the charts. With bodies of work as appealing as this one, the entire state of Florida is likely to help catapult him back into the front lines of stardom. So hop in your whip, give Velasco a listen while you ride and prepare to put this album on repeat.

Too Trill DM – Part 4 (Official Video) [Dir. JOHNNIGHTT]

DIRECTOR: @JOHNNIGHTT

Too Trill DM has been doing wonders for the state of Florida after the release of his LP Thinking Out Loud. An incredibly packaged full length project that has been setting the South Miami on fire over the past few of months. More recently he gives us this visual offering for their hometown called “Part 4”, one of the standouts from the album. One that needed a video for the fans. The eye popping video was directed by John Nightt. Too Trill DM gives us a cinematic masterpiece that shows the perfect contrast to the heavy hitting track that in turn, serves as a look into his life and a dedication to his home, Miami, Florida. Just what we need today.

Blxxdshot – Icey (ft. STZ & Envy)

PRODUCER: @AyoGee
COVER ART: @xoverxpr

Following the momentum of “3Pacc”, his latest wave crashing track, Blxxdshot brings in his Puerto Rico counterparts, STZ & Envy, to form a trio of madness on “Icey”. A song of great energy and self assurance, produced by Gee.

With Blxxdshot setting the initial tone with the opening verse, STZ carrying the message further while also delivering strongly when in the spotlight. Then arrives Envy, to give yet another great display of fluid like flows and lyricism, adding more gasoline to the track’s combustion. These young emcees took action into their own hands to ensure that the track would remain a banger with an onslaught of bars for the entirety of the three minutes that the song lives. In the words of URL’s Geechi Gotti, “EVERY FUCKING BAR!”.

Stay alert because these guys are looking to make some serious noise this year, much farther than Florida and the island of Puerto Rico. And it damn sure looks/sounds like they have the tools to do so…

A playlist about dedication, loyalty and confidence. Although short the project is lived, this is a great run for 7. The dynamic rapper of Central Florida.

CheckTheStar – Dead Roses (EP) / Lipstick (Video)

DIRECTOR: @theyloveoz
STREAM PROJECT: via Spotify/Apple Music/Tidal

Above, we have “Lipstick”, a romantic moment fueled by despair, starring CheckTheStar and KKTheIntrovert. A tale of love burdened mistakes shot by theyloveoz. This track is a fuel for heartbreak.

But that’s not all that CheckTheStar has to offer to us today. He also brings his first project of 2020, alongside Miami’s PesoWavy.

12 tracks of sheer mayhem with an elegant overtone. Dead Roses is the long-awaited addition to the warfare that CheckTheStar has initiated. The West Florida rapper continues to give us something to stir up this year’s rockstar debate, adding fuel to the fire that he ignited over the past few months and throwing a musical tantrum on the thrown that he’s claimed all in the same breathe.

The introduction to Dead Roses is “Supply”, a get money message for the world. The following features “Rain”. A strong, bass filled beat that CheckTheStar manipulates flawlessly with his speed bag of rhymes and throwing a changing melody ever so often. Never missing a punch.

A treasure chest full of gems such as “Riot On 3” and “L.T.S.”. This man and his army is a force to be reckoned with and should never be taken lightly. Doing it in the most organic and arrogant way so far. Not only does this seem like it’s sport to him, but it’s child’s play in some way. Convincing me that he has something dynamic hidden up his sleeve and this is barely the tip of the asteroid. I just pray that the world is ready for the turn up before time runs out.

This album by Check The Star is a MUST listen! Check it out below!
