With his debut project Carpe Diem making noise, the South Florida artist hasn’t stopped grinding as he’s followed up with singles “Say Less”, “Elevators” and the most recent “Level Up.” In “Level Up,” Product Of The City raps about rising up and taking command of the scene due to the hesitation of those around him. It goes to show the ambition and determination Product Of The City has in trying to separate himself from other artists. Young Q releases his latest track titled “Late Night Fantasy.” In this track, the Miami artist opens up about the beginning and ending of an intimate relationship he had with a woman. Once his inspiration and liberation, Young Q put nothing above her as she was his salvation. Yet as time passed, he would question her realness which would lead to the two becoming distant. Late Night Fantasy serves as an example of how love at times can be short lived. Young Q is currently working on the visual for Late Night Fantasy which he previewed on his twitter page along with a new project called Peep My Hustle scheduled to drop in June. South Florida artist SKBABYRUTH releases his first project of the year titled December. This 11- track project takes listeners into a dark chapter of SKBABYRUTH’s life where he lost friends and family to the streets and jail. Every track recounts this dark chapter from one moment to the next along with his evolution to overcome these conflicts. When asked about the significance of the title, the Miami Gardens native responded he “named it December because it represents that time” and “the tape gives [him] a feeling of winter looking over a balcony on the 49th floor.” The 22 year olds ability to generate different tones and atmospheres from the highs of “Summers Mine” to the lows of “Late Night in Aventura” will undoubtedly help him in making a name for himself in the South Florida music scene. Like the month it is named after, the flows in December are cold and fans should be eager for what SKBABYRUTH has next. You can follow SKBABYRUTH on Twitter @SKBABYRUTH and on SoundCloud @SKBABYRUTH.
Babatunde finally releases his highly anticipated project Before The VVS. Before dropping, there was a lot of hype surrounding this project with the release of visual “Grand Puba” and single “Micheal Jackson.” Listening through its 13 tracks, fans will come to the conclusion that the hype is well deserved. The South Florida artist continues to build his acclaim with his versatility of flows and tones generated throughout Before The VVS. Babatunde’s skills as an artist are a promising sign of whats to come next as he continues establishing himself in the South Florida music scene. With the year still in its early stages, there’s no seeing why fans cannot expect him to continue making waves in 2017.
Babatunde continues to make noise in the early stages of 2017 with the release of his newest visual “What’s Up.” Directed by Wavylord and Finessedashoota, this visual provides a symbolic message as the South Florida artist delivers his signature flow with ornate furnishings as a backdrop. The message communicated to the viewer is that high end luxury and the urban streets can come together to produce visual works of art such as this. The track “What’s Up” was first featured on the popular collaborative project Kidd Tunde and a cameo appearance by Kidd Adamz serves as a reminder to viewers of this origin. This visual along with his recently released track “Micheal Jackson” produced by Bathing Montel generates hype for Babatunde’s upcoming project Before The VVS set to drop February 23rd. If these recent releases are an indication of what to expect on Before The VVS, fans can rest assured they will not be disappointed.
