ymtk – No Rest (West Coast) Ft. IAMSU!

ymtk

No Mustard on the beat, but this vibe is definitely a product of the West Coast. Oakland, California musician ymtk has been heavy on the scene with consistent drops in 2016. As he prepares for the release of his upcoming collective, “All The Right Places,” the futuristic emcee unveils a gem pulled from the project, featuring HBK Gang’s leading artist, Iamsu!, titled “No Rest (West Coast)“.

The track serves as one of the lead singles from the project, and touches on the steady grind that induces long hours and “no rest on the west coast“. As ymtk dances around the beat with his sazzy vocals, Iamsu! compliments the sound with a set of 8-bars.

ymtk is prepping for his upcoming show at The Roxy on Sunset BLVD next Wednesday (July 27th) to open for Chuck English of The Cook Kids, but in the meantime, listen to his new IAMSU! assisted cut & stay tuned for his forthcoming project, “All The Right Places,” coming soon.

Elujay – We Dont Mind Ft. CALEBORATE & Samaria

Elujay

Elujay is a Hip-Hop artist/producer who uses his eclectic sounds to put his vision on wax. If you’ve never heard material from the Oakland musician & were looking for an overall jest of his artistry, paint a picture in your mind of jazzy production vibes that promote the rising “future bounce” sound. Elu himself would say that his music is selective and the sound of tomorrow.

We Dont Mind is a song featuring two fellow Bay Area musicians–Oakland songstress, Samaria, whose recently collaborated with Kehlani on her latest track, “Love Me Crazy,” and Berkeley’s hometown hero, CALEBORATE.

Elujay comments on the new collaboration:

The record pays homage to having pride in individualism; being conscious of who you are and not caring about what others think about you. Its focal point stems from experiences that me and the other 2 featured artist have faced with people in the industry and just people in general wearing out our names, mispronouncing it, and being inconsiderate of our artistic value. We used the music to speak for itself.. and it speaks in high volume.

Production is mainly handled by Waxroof, rising producer extraordinaire, who produced Elujay‘s latest hit release,  Soul Food. Another production credit for the track goes to frequent producer-collab, Kevchoice, who has also played a part in Elujay‘s previous release (as well as he played for Lauryn Hill, Hieroglyphics, & Zion i) The vibe of this cut is a layed back boom-bap style drums under a jazzy/ neo soul chords… while the guitar added to it gives it a surfer indie-rock vibe. There is definitely a lot of genre fusion that produces an undeniably feel good track, while Samaria serenades the chorus with beautiful vocals, gauging any type of music lover.

Elujay and CALEBORATE trade off verses full of melodies & metaphoric raps that entail subjects that range from Individualism, Women calling men out of our name, or charging it to the game.

Listen below to the new collab.

Shmoked Out – Hotel Suite Freestyle

Shmoked Out is making progress and gearing up for a big video shoot. Matter of fact he is labeling it the new Northside day. Being the truth like Paul Pierce ain’t easy. His new record “Hotel Suite” just gives you that early 90’s vibe. Feel so good music I call it. Shmoked Out does the beat justice with his aura. The flow he brings is choppy and fancy. Shmoked Out flow is getting better and better with time. His label is Zummi Gang Religion by the way. Check out this crazy freestyle above.

Pronto – On The North (Video)

Proud to say Pronto may just have one. His song “On The North” is riding and the video is a plus. The flow and content just hit the spot. It’s all about timing with this music industry. The northside of Atlanta need that next big superstar. Could Pronto just be that. Still catching plays with his click. Check out the video directed by Sean Wuzy above.

PREMIERE: she.go indigo – Black Magick (Prod. By Jahrahmf)

by .

PRODUCER: Jahrahmf
LATEST RELEASE: Cast Away | Stream

In the wake of recent world events, a strong message for and from the youth is vital. And just like that, Florida’s favorite sorceress she.go indigo arrives like a prophet with “Black Magick”. An unapologetic psalm of black royalty and preservation. She.go indigo fiercely walks the line between revolutionary and artist, as she beautifully fuses her Nina Simone like poetry, that was constructed by the pain of the world with a Betty Davis like sound of soul and funk provided by the young God, Jahrahmf.

As history continues to repeat itself, it has become even more evident that we are living In a hurricane of chaos and hatred. Where every so often tragedy happens due to the things as simple as the color of one’s skin, and then just like that, the greater part of the world head to the eye of the storm, forgetting the damage that was done. But in those time is when revolutions are needed the most. And what better way to start it, than with music? Thank you she.go indigo.

KiddTunde – Timberlands (Video)

Directed/Shot By: @Wavylord & @Raimage

Kidd Adamz and Babatunde come together to collaborate once again with their latest visual ‘Timberlands.’ The follow up to’ Take A Ride,’ this track asserts itself with authority and style just as the iconic boot itself. In this visual the brotherhood amongst Kidd Adamz and Babatunde’s squad is communicated alongside their readiness to take down any obstacle before them. This theme of comradery is embodied throughout all the verses with the staple mark being in the final line of the chorus which declares “Walking through the streets and we D’d up.” The message is a warning for anyone who dares to stand in opposition. ‘Timberlands’ drops in the wake of a ten track collaboration project featuring both artists set for release August 1st. Titled KiddTunde, the project is a combination of the two artists names which further cements the brotherhood between them. With the XXL freshman class featuring two South Florida artists, the spotlight has made competition fierce as artists fight to be next. The collaboration displayed in ‘Timberlands’ will go on to serve the rise of both artists as they separate themselves in a highly competitive field.
