Justin Snow – “Fortnite”

Rising rapper and slasher Justin Snow unleashed his self-directed “Fortnite” music video co-directed by Greg Myers this past Friday April 6th.

In the video Justin Snow’s moodus operandi is #PrettyGirlsGetSlain, which is his twisted metaphor for intercourse.

The video’s concept plays like a slasher film fantasy for women who are attracted to the bad guys, continuing themes from previous horrific visuals like those from Snow’s Body Count project (HotNewHipHop).

In the short film, women are essentially role playing their favorite fantasy with a horror movie villain.

Recruiting beautiful unsuspecting victims, Snow has raised eyebrows with his blood-splattered polaroid pictures and NSFW films which air regularly on his IG page, gaining attention from the XO movement and other industry insiders.

As such Snow’s Instagram feed has become widely popular as he metaphorically slays beautiful women also drawing attention from the likes of Playboi Carti, Rich The Kid, Ian Conner, A$AP Bari, Uno the Activist and more.

Wyze – Poseidon (Album Stream)

Poseidon

Poseidon is an eleven track sound collection (album) consisting of all original beats, and completely written and recorded by Wyze. Needless to forget the features from Tory Lanez of the One Umbrella Mob and Top 5, more popularly known for his shout out from Drake in the “Grammys” record off his Views album; the assistance from these two and his brother from day one, Hollywood Ash make the album versatile and fresh to hear.

With calming sounds from the ocean, blended with wavy production from the likes of PMCK Studios, Blasian Beats, and D Dilla, Wyze does an excellent job of sonically reincarnating the greek God of the Sea; Poseidon. With his own passion and hardwork, along with help from his self-owned record label A Mind State Entertainment Inc, Wyze brings us an exciting high paced album that is extremely enjoyable for the times. Wyze is a very versatile artist, his focus on this album was music to get people up and at em. In his future projects, Wyze intends to show off his versatility with some R&B music, and more focus on music for the ladies than you will hear on Poseidon. Stream above and follow him on Instagram.

Matt B – “Hennessy Complexion” (Prod. by Bryan-Michael Cox)

Continuing to build his buzz in the Windy City, Priority Records R&B singer Matt B releases his single “Hennessy Complexion.” The single is produced by 9x GRAMMY-award winning producer Bryan-Michael Cox who is known for his work with Usher, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, and Toni Braxton among others.

“I like my girls like I like my drink, with that Hennesy Complexion,” Matt B joked. “B. Cox was cool and was willing to take a chance on me. He started running down some records for me and from there we got a hold of the Hennessy record. It’s really a concept that Black women are beautiful the way they are, especially the dark skinned women. I just kind of wanted to let them know they are appreciated and that we think they are beautiful.”

The fiery single is a sensual track with lots of bass, that’s ready for the clubs and is a shout out to all the brown and darker colored complexioned women across the world. Finding a balance between a club banger and a song that tackles cultural issues, Matt B found this song as a great way to express himself through writing with famed producer Bryan-Michael Cox.

Previously Matt B found viral success with his track “Hollywood” featuring Chi-Town rapper Lil Bibby. The track was widely successful and received posts on HotNewHipHop, MissInfo, TrapsNTrunks, ItsBizkit among others, but he has also worked with Casey Veggies and a host of up and coming singers and songwriters.

“I’ve been writing my own music for a while, but working with other artists it really forces me to push my pen and get better at my craft. I think that’s the struggle for a lot of up and coming recording artists – nobody really wants to write for you. But it was good, it forced me to get better at it, and now here I am,” Matt B said.

Prior to his success and signing a deal stateside with Priority Records, Matt B was signed to a record label in Japan where he charted several times across the Pacific. Despite his success in Japan, Matt B decided to return home to build his buzz in Chicago and in the USA.

“The good thing about Japan and transitioning over is that it showed Priority that I can sell records and while they didn’t always know how those numbers would translate, it was a good conversation starter,” Matt B explained.

“With overseas distribution I ended up reaching #1 twice on the iTunes R&B charts in Japan and I moved over 50, 000 units with each of my releases. From there I tried to branch back to the R&B market in the U.S. and that’s when I linked up with Mark Byrd, Bryan-Michael Cox and things started to moving with the help of my manager Angela and label consultant Pete.”

RiFF RAFF Ft. Poodeezy & Mack Twon – Supreme Shopping (Video)

No matter how much you love Supreme, the New York street wear brand that has seemingly taken over the world, you probably don’t love it as much as Riff Raff does in his new video for “Supreme Shopping.” An ode to Wednesday morning shopping, the Daniel Kelly-directed visuals find Riff Raff turning up in a small boutique as he raps about his riches. “Hundred pushups 8 a.m./Diamonds jumping out the gym/Pastel pink bag MCM/Polar bear up under chin/Frosted flakes across my face,” Riff Raff spits on the Slick LaFlare produced track.

WAV3Pop – Bad Bridges

Pivoting off the success of their previous releases, WAV3POP releases the first audio release from their upcoming project entitled Island coming soon. Produced by the guys, they credit this new sound to their bond and overall music chemistry. When asked about the inspiration behind this song title WAV3POP had this to say: “People say don’t burn bridges, we burn the bad ones.”
