PREMIERE: Twelve’Len – PINK (EP)

To top the year off, Twelve’Len has finally released their long awaited fourth album, PINK. Continuing the color pattern used in previous projects, PINK is the final color to be added and it represents feminism and the female character the project is built around. Boasting only five tracks, this project successfully takes listeners on a journey to experience the trials and tribulations of love. The first few songs are very upbeat and groovy to depict the beginning stages of a relationship where everything is fresh and fun. However, as the project comes to an end the tone becomes very melancholy and slow as obstacles begin to arise and reality finally kicks in. Overall, Twelve’Len did an amazing job on this project and you can definitely jam to this until we see what else they have in store for us. Make sure you take a listen above and go check out the visuals for “Miss Lady Pink”, “You and I”, and “Packing”.

Noex – Cloud

From “Paranormal Activity” to his “Get Money Freestyle”, we’ve heard Noex spit rhymes to Jay Electronica and body a classic from two decades ago proving he can do it all. On his new track, you can expect high lyricism, a low tolerance for nonsense, and a high chance of originality as we take a glimpse at his “Cloud”. Using superior knowledge, he elevates to a higher level riding the beat with smooth flows and wordplay to snatch the crown from whoever has it. Noex makes it clear that many people are incapable of getting through the smog and surviving the weather and if you’re not on his wavelength you get no more than a “peace sign with the index down”. Listen to the track above and let me know what you think in the comment section below!

Palmer Reed – Changes (Video)

by .

Directed By: Concrete Rose Films

After recently opening up for hip-hop artist Obie Trice, Orlando singer/songwriter Palmer Reed releases a cinematic visual for his latest single “Changes”. Beginning with a skit on The Not So Late Show, Karrick Robinson introduces Reed before he takes the stage to execute an intimate and heartfelt surprise performance featuring a live band. Shortly we get to see a different perspective where the show is being aired and the focus fluctuates between him watching in a bar while his love interest simultaneously tunes in from her bedroom as they ponder on what could have been. The contrasting outlooks accurately captures the essence of the lyrics showing how feelings can be altered by distance and time. Watch the visuals above and fall in love with the warmth of this track with each strum of his guitar. Stay tuned for more from Reed coming soon.

Prez P – Play That Funk ft. Travis Bowe (Video)

by .

PRODUCER: Showoff Beats
DIRECTOR: Unkleluc & Marcmywords
UPCOMING PROJECT: Prezidential LP
RELEASE DATE: 2016

By now you should be familiar with Miami artist Prez P who managed to keep his name in the mix last year whether it was with a feature, interview, or mixtape. His nonstop grind has solidified him a spot in South Florida’s underground music scene and he has no intentions of slowing down anytime soon. To celebrate the New Year he gifts us with new visuals for the first single from his forthcoming album Prezidential and his only request is that we “Play That Funk”. Showoff Beats lays down the wavy production for Prez to spit some solid verses while appointing Bahamian artist Travis Bowe for a guest feature. Shot in Miami’s infamous Wynwood Arts District, UnkleLuc and Marcmywords take a simple video and flip it into various optical illusions with some dope effects. Check it out above and keep playing that funk until the release of Prezidential coming later this year.

Xali – Kill

PRODUCER: The Pyrvmids
UPCOMING PROJECT: The RED EP
RELEASE DATE: Early 2016

Just when we thought he disappeared Xali is back to shake things up with a loosie that is sure to clear up any misconceptions about his creative abilities. Spewing rhymes like venom, the SoFloHipHop founder is coming for the jugular and his only intention is to “Kill”. First, The Pyrvmids lures you in with blaring horns just to shortly follow up with a menacing combo to finish his execution on this captivating production. Then, consumed by resentment and pain, Xali unleashes his inner demons sharing his cynical views on the world regarding law enforcement, making ends meet, loss of faith, and contradictions within religion. But determined to fulfill his destiny and survive he faces reality and does the only thing he knows best, KILL. Many of us can relate to this and able to feel the raw emotion and realness in this song it serves as a form of catharsis for me easily making it one of my favorites. Make sure you check it out above and stay tuned for the RED EP coming early next year.
