Outside World member Frankie X just recently dropped his single “H.E.R” (prod. Santiago Purp) on all streaming platforms in November . He just hit 21,000 streams on the hit single , so the team at Citrus Rap wants to give him a big shoutout for that. Outside World member Three D. Swayze just dropped a video to his hit single “Papi Mocosso”. He’s an up coming artist out of Tampa. Are you originally from Tampa?
Nah, I’m from multiple places. My pops was military so I spent a lot of time moving around growing up. Tampa is where I settled and I’ve been here for the last 6 years.
What is “Outside World” to you ?
Outside World is group that consists of 9 all around artist from photographers producers and rappers. I mean at first the group started out as an inside joke between Fetti Suo and our manager Dee Illz whenwe ain’t really have intentions for doing music, but as time came goes on we really just started to feel brotherhood within the name. Our goals with it is to become a powerhouse within the music industry and put for each and all of our family.
What is the most recent event you performed at?
The haunted traphouse, Big shout out to 109Kenna for putting Outside World on the show, that event had some of the hardest grinding folks on Tampa’s music scene involved and performing.
• What is the most recent single you have released?
That would be “Papi Mocosso”. It features my bro Fetti Suo and is Produced by an artist out of Berlin Germany named Ein junge. It dropped October 19th. Originally the video was supposed to be a mock version of Fat Albert but it just ended up being a high energy music video with everyone on the getting hype and turning up with each other. The video was shot by ImaniB (Seizure Mode)
Do you have any new releases dropping soon?
I got a new single that’s scheduled for release Jan 12th called “Fuck Jeff Bezos” ft Richie Guapo. Be on the look outside most definitely makin noise all year round and we plan to continue that hype.
Tampa artist Treshon released his EP On My Way in June of 2018 featuring hit singles “TEAM” , “Fall Through” and “Drippin’. The EP is available on all streaming platforms. He has been working consistently on new content which will be relaxing soon. For now , check out his video to his single “TEAM” on his YouTube channel and be on the lookout for new drops from him.
Fettisuo,a member of the Outside World collective based in Tampa , has been a fan of music since he could remember. Although he wasn’t interested in becoming an artist until 2013 when a friend of his in high school made him freestyle on the bus , ever since then he’s been on go! He’s been apart of the Tampa music scene for almost 3 years. Tampa is like a home to Suo , but he’s originally from Maryland and he’s lived in Arizona and Ft. Lauderdale before he made his stop here.So far he’s released one EP titled Telephone Booth and two singles featuring his fellow Outside World members , “Bandicoot” ft Three D Swayze and “Don’t Deal with the Devil” ft Flex Winter. Just this past Tuesday he has also released a videoto a song off of his EP , “Casualties” ft YZM and HoolieF. He has another single dropping soon featuring Indie Indigo , titled “Icey Icey”.To get to understand him better as an artist I asked him a couple questions about his music and him as a person. SO WHAT IS OUTSIDE WORLD?
• OutsideWorld in every aspect is more than a rap group. We all have our own passion that we bring to the table and make it whole. Its a family not only because we built it together but through thick and thin we’ve kept our heads together and kept pursuing the same goal. And really our goals is to not only put on for our city and the ppl who always believed in us along with those who help push us foward, we also want to give back to those same ppl and the family we’ve known, and the community thats not only been a home for us but a home for everyone else who wants nothing but success and positivity for all who we do it for.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT BEING AN ARTIST?
•I’d say my favorite part about being an artist is the creative experience. Actually getting in the booth and laying songs down, making the beat from scratch or collaborating with like artists, the mixing and mastering process along with the visual art from covers to music videos. Everything else I can care less for, there still important and I still take them seriously, but this is what im here for. The actual music. The actual art form.
WHATS YOUR FAVORITE PERFORMANCE YOUVE DONE SO FAR?
•That’s hard to pick considering I’ve done countless shows. I’d have to say one of my favorite shows was November 19th 2018 at FlyGuykys first event at Celebrities Lounge. We brought Migs718 down from New York to perform with us, I also just dropped my ep a month and 2 weeks before that. Whats makes it one of my special performances was that at the time i was going through alot of life struggles to the point where i felt living life was near pointless, I was able to let out all that rage and emotion from what I was going through and felt the energy being received thru the crowd and the crowd reciprocating that energy back to me. It was just a great time I had alot of fun that night.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 5 YEARS?
• I’m not sure where I see my self 5 years from now. My life has always been unpredictable. I could be a famous entertainer known around the world, making millions of dollars. Or I could be on the street trynna make the best of what I got. Regardless of where I’mgoing be im going to move foward with positivity and put 100% into whatever it is that makes my life what it is.
Tampa artist Danté just released his 7 track EP ,protoTÉ last Tuesdaay. The EP kicks off with the high energy party banger ” INTRO – WTTZ”. Each track has a different sound , from the fast and upbeaat track “IK” (prod. by NappyHeadedFool) to the mellow , chill “”OMH” (prod. by KurryGoat , where he pours his heart out on the track and lets us hear his vocals. The song that stood out the most to me was “MDL” produced by one of our hometown favorites , Santiago Purp. The boom bap sound mixed with his flow and delivery created a masterpiece that makes it almost impossible to NOT nod your head to and vibe to the music. Overall the whole EP delivers an original and creative sound. Go stream it and keep an eye out for his new releases.
Tampa artist Sage The Fox dropped another banger , “Jump Gang” which is now available on all platforms including Soundcloud , Apple Music and YouTube. His original flow and the hard hitting beat produced by Khroam gives us a new sound to vibe to. Be on the lookout for his EP dropping on November 4th , titled K4:44
South Florida’s Yung Yoppa makes a phenomenal return on CitrusRap with “everyn!ght”. A melodic onslaught with the perfect vibes, the Jupiter based emcee is running hard on all cylinders with his latest bump. It’s such a relief hearing someone who can not only flow as fluid as Yung Yoppa does, but who’s words and voice makes you want to live life through his song. “everyn!ght” is a psalm for the youth, that tells of loving hard and living as lively as possible before our ultimate demise. But Yung Yoppa’s take is that of a rather optimistic approach to this trinket. Fingers crossed that this isn’t the last that we hear of Yung Yoppa. Although, we do have a feeling he will make a strong return.
