BLCK – Came Up (Video)

Producers: Lambchop & BLCK

BLCK has been on the up and up over the past year, from touring with Ryan Leslie to releasing his album CONRAD. Keeping the momentum up, BLCK releases a short film for his song “Came Up”. The track’s inspiration stems from chasing a dream in a world that seems to be against you.

“The world is unforgiving and will kill you if you let it. It takes drive along with the help of your day ones to get through it and reach your goals,” explains BLCK.

The Dariun Robinson-directred visual features masked men and handcuffs which represent life and the challenges you have to go through to make it. The box containing a key represents BLCK’s goals and dreams. Throughout the video, BLCK is having visions of the box (his goals), and that’s what keeps him going even through his hardships. When BLCK finally reaches the box and unlocks the cuffs: he has made it.
