The Weeknd – Can’t Feel My Face [Nuri Remix]

PRODUCER: Nuri

South Florida producer Nuri is known for dropping remixes that are usually even better than the original track. Putting his own flavor on The Weeknd‘s “Can’t Feel My Face,” Nuri is back with a new remix, and it’s lit. This remix has the same funky vibe as the original along with more of Nuri’s own production godliness. Jah – We [Mixtape]

ARTWORK BY: Wendy Giovanna

When I hear any new work from Jah of The Nobodies, I expect something rare and one of a kind. When it comes down to it Jah doesn’t let fans down, providing a sound that no one else can mimic. His new project We is a prime example of his creative flair and what he has to offer as an artist. The project is separated into three sections: I, You, and Us and also provides a description for each part (read below) which creates a lot of food for thought.  Stream We above, you won’t be disappointed.

FXRBE$

“We. We are everything and nothing. The All-The Everything-The We, expresses itself through all things. Splitting itself into matter, making itself singular so WE can experience US, THE I, THE ALL – To experience WE.”

Xali

“I destroyed WE. Life is energy. We can never destroy energy caused, we can only divert it.”

MTFR

“Our individuality brings us together, our unique attributes make up our oneness. We are the world and the world is us so when you are truly yourself, your core shines through and you realize despite there being no one like you, you belong in this world exactly as you are. Our differences are to be celebrated rather than shunned for they shall lead us all down our own paths to happiness and there is nothing more important in this very short life of ours than achieving happiness.”

Jah

“We figured out a lot of shit.. Learning to meditate, some real self/all. I legit turned into a shaman or something walking around the house cleansing each room with incense like incantations and shit. We also had a glass of water and for each negative idea I put into my brain we had took a sip (as cleanse) and started each thought processes over only to come up with “we” Acknowledging the I, acknowledging “all”. Both together and seperate can do wonderful things, but one thing stuck out to me hard.. They can’t “share”. Only “We” can share. “I” cannot share what it has, to “I” nor “all” (who already has it”), and “all” cannot share to “all”. “Us” doesn’t work because I created Us. If i = All. Then “we” Assuming we both grasp the understanding of I = all.”We” was my answer for everything. The sound it made, how my mouth carved the sound, it’s writing and bilingual entendresIt’s literally my go to chant. Everytime the glass of water hit the counter the ending sound was so high pitch it washed me.”

“Cleanse = restart thoughts

We taste whats in the water = we give meaning to what we want to

We’re not there yet = hoping to achieve but also appreciating the now

Ba’ll tried to do the same thing = idk if I told u my DMT trip.. But basically “Ba’al” tried to trick me into tripping out but I told em now and acquired his powers of agriculture and fertility.

We told each negative thought that “Ba’al” once tried to do the same to me but failed. Negative wasn’t even a bad/evil entity… They just like to laugh….”

IndigoChildRick – Retribution

DIRECTED BY: IndigoChildRick
EDITED BY: IndigoChildRick
PRODUCED BY: IndigoChildRick
SHOT BY: 2ri & Orhan Kolenovic

IndigoChildRick has been pretty quiet for the last few months after dropping his returning single – but he’s back for revenge with one of the best visuals to come out of Florida this year. His latest video for his single “Retribution,” was entirely directed, edited, and produced by Indigo himself. The video is pure genius and has an electrifying cross between hip-hop and grunge but ironically enough makes for an impeccable piece of work. The direction in this visual is something that can’t be put entirely in words, you just have to see the visual above for yourself.

Mick Jenkins – P’s & Q’s

by .

DIRECTOR: Nathan R. Smith
PRODUCER:
Kaytranada
VISUALS BY: GDBYM
UPCOMING PROJECT: Wave[s]

When you think of Mick Jenkins you usually think of his profound way of stringing words together to articulate a beautiful piece of work, both visually and musically. Dropping a new video for his single “P’s & Q’s” produced by Kaytranada you can find the rapper in what seems to be a simple video, but more than likely containing a deeper meaning. In the Nathan R. Smith directed clip you’ll catch Mick Jenkins moving in slow motion paying no mind to all the chaos surrounding him, never stopping in his tracks and continuing to move forward.  Watch the visual above, and expect the Wave[s] EP soon.

Denzel Curry – Threatz [Ekali & Gravez Remix]

by .

PRODUCER: Ekali and Gravez
RELEASE DATE: May 27
ARTWORK BY: Abstract Youth

Denzel  Curry’s “Threatz” featuring Yung Simmie and Robb Bank$ was dropped 2 years ago, and still manages to turn up a crowd at any rap show. Giving the track a more experimental sound Vancouver producer Ekali teamed up with Gravez to create a sick track. Although the sound is quite different compared to the original track, it provides a wave of bass and gritty sound that’s indescribable. To sum it up, you’re going to fall in love with “Threatz” all over again, enjoy the track above.
