The Underachievers – Take Your Place

by .

PRODUCER: Mr Bristol
MASTERED BY: Daddy Kev at Cosmic Zoo
ARTWORK BY: Edd Powell
UPCOMING ALBUM: Evermore – The Art of Duality

Brooklyn duo The Underachievers have recently announced their sophomore album Evermore – The Art of Duality, along with their fall tour- Forevermore Express World Tour which will include acts such as: Kirk Knight, Bodega Bamz, Pouya and the Buffet Boys. To kick off their exciting announcements they’ve also dropped the first track off the album. “Take Your Place” is a hazy, hard hitting track which both rappers preach about keeping your mind conscience and puffing on that OG kush. I find this track to be a really good first release for the upcoming album, what are your thoughts? Stream the track above. Ken Rebel – Underwater Rebels (ft. Keith Ape, Okasian, JayAllDay)

by .

Asian collective The Cohort have caught a lot of attention from American artists due to their song  “It G Ma”, one of the artists is Brooklyn rapper Ken Rebel. When Ken Rebel spoke to Vice Magazine about the collective  he had to say this “When I first met Keith, Okasian, and JayAllDay we connected on the spot, they brought me out for two of their shows (one in Texas and one in New York), and the energy was always crazy on the same stage together, so I figured it was only right that we got a song done!” The track they made together is titled “Underwater Rebels” and if you haven’t heard it by now I’m letting you know that it is pure flames, the track also has an INSANE video to match it. Keith Ape, Okasian and JayAllDay join Ken Rebel to tear the city up, literally. They have a mob of people in the streets of Soho, NY jumping on cars, falling all over the place and just jumping around vibing to the music and even features wavy special effects, along some subtitles in both English and Japanese so fans can follow along. Do yourself a favor and watch the video above and stream the track here you won’t be disappointed.

MTFR – Equivocal

by .

PRODUCER: Eldr
LATEST PROJECT: Captain: Training Day [Download]

MTFR or ½ of The Nobodies, also known as one of Florida’s uprising talented artists has dropped a new track for us titled “Equivocal” produced by Eldr. If you’re familiar with Matt’s music you’ll know that when he gets on a track he spits nothing but the truth. Matt goes in on the sick beat, which sounds sort of like it came out of a suspenseful movie, where he starts off saying “I am not my image, I am not my Twitter, I ‘m down to fuck these bitches I’m bound to get these riches, I’ll be damned if I can’t deliver” after you hear that, you know it’s about to go down. To hear what else Matt has to spit on the track stream above, and check back to our site for any new music from either him or The Nobodies.

Frais – Stayed Down 2

by .

PRODUCER: Noel Figuereo
UPCOMING PROJECT: Digital Flame 2

In the beginning of this year upcoming rapper Frais dropped a track titled “Stayed Down” and now he’s back on our pages dropping “Stayed Down 2” which features Bankroll Bird and Jay Storm. This track has a similar feel as the previous creating a mellow, smooth cut with hard hitting bars. You might be thinking, why would I want to hear similar themes on two different tracks? Well, because they’re both dope and have an organic sound with a steady flow that compliments the rappers strong, fluid rhymes. Enjoy the track above and keep a look out for the rappers next project Digital Flame 2, which should be out soon.

Young Scooter – No Rules

by .

PRODUCER: Metro Boomin

Not long ago Young Scooter dropped his collaborative tape with Zaytoven Juggathon, there’s no official word on when his debut album will be released but as we wait for it the rapper has a decided to drop a few tracks for us. He started off last week by dropping “Houston to Lil Mexico” featuring Sauce Twinz, where he gives a shout out to Atlanta’s Zone 6, and like everyone in the hip-hop community wants the feds to free Gucci.  This week the rapper has returned with “No Rules” where he finds himself rapping on a more experimental beat that has waves of different synths throughout the track, which was of course produced my Metro Boomin. While we await the official release date of Young Scooter’s album, enjoy the two tracks above.

Young Thug – With That (ft. Duke)

by .

ALBUM: Barter 6 [iTunes]

Just a few days ago Young Thug announced that the arrival of his project Slime Season will be delayed, but Thugger is not one to disappoint his fans and continues to drop new material whether it’s a new track  or a video like the one he just dropped for his track “With That” featuring Duke. The video was directed by Be El Be and co-directed by Young Thug himself, it starts off as typical rap video with the rapper hanging around the block with his homies,  post up in front of local shops, etc. But when you see Young Thug’s head turn way too big for his long, lanky body along with more special effects you know you’re in for a few giggles. Watch the humorous video above and be sure to check back for any word on Slime Season.

YT Triz – Aint Right

by .

DIRECTOR: Jon Vulpine
MIXTAPE: Dysfunctional | Download

In May Orlando rapper YT Triz dropped his project Dysfunctional. Now the rapper is back dropping more content in the form of a visual for his track “Ain’t Right” which is directed by Jon Vulpine. This visual features several robberies and ends in a bang, all while the YT raps about his life over a series of earnest bars and a cryptic beat. Enjoy the video above, and be sure to stream Dysfunctionalone of the hottest tapes coming out of Orlando right now.
