T.K. Other Realm – Wanna Be (Music Video)

Cali native T.K. Other Realm is back again, this time with a new visual.

He previously released his single “Wanna Be” in 2017, and today drops off the accompanying music video.

“Wanna Be” takes place in a mansion, symbolizing the “Master’s house”. The glorious empty structure is a reminder of how some people of color have sold their souls for material gain, losing connection with their culture & customs.

As always, stay woke. Tune in up top for T.K.’s latest. Follow on Twitter: @tkotherrealm

Shorty – “For You”

When you’re musician bred in Uptown New Orleans, also known as “The Big Easy,” there are high expectations for you. You can’t just passively like music, you have to be a real performer. Such is the case of the multi-talented entertainer Shorty who has worked with the likes of G-Unit’s Kidd Kidd and Nolia legend himself Juvenile.

Raised with a father who was a pastor and with siblings that were also in choir, Shorty transition from creating music in the church to the studio as his love of Hip-Hop grew at an early age.

That background in church and growing up in New Orleans afforded Shorty the opportunity to try his hand at entertaining as Shorty has performed at several important shows including but not limited to the Bayou Classic Fan Fest, the Jazz and Heritage Festival, and he’s opened up for Future multiple times.

Influenced not only by local and popular rappers like Lil Wayne, Shorty drew inspiration as a youth from acts like Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Prince. That inspiration drove his concept behind newest project dubbed Rich, which is completely inspired by the feelings and concepts of love.

“I wanted to make a timeless sounding project. I love being loved so I made this entire Rich, project completely about love. Love is timeless, endless, and brings everything together,” Shorty explained.

From his early hits like “Tipsy,” “Weekend,” “I Luv Em” and “I Might” ft Kidd Kidd and Juvenile, Shorty has developed a fan base that is highly responsive to his releases. In fact this next single “For You” is expected to be Shorty’s biggest hit yet and a breakout song locally that will likely put him on the map across the country.

“KC Da Producer produced my new single For You,” Shorty said. “I have several shows coming up and I’m approaching the Blow Talk Tour hosted by Bigga Rankin, so I’m looking forward to the opportunity to meet fans in different cities.”

Solo LaMaze – “OoSheWanParty” ft DJ Khaled

Born in Chicago and raised in Louisville aka “Derby City,” rapper Solo LaMaze always loved music and as a youth found himself listening to music almost every hour of the day.

Getting started early Solo picked up the mic and began rapping at the age of 11 after developing a passion for the battle rap scene and released his first project Year of Solo in 2003

That 2003 project was followed up by his Synthetic Dope LP where he was the executive producer, engineering and producing the entire project on his own.

“It was a no brainer” to begin making music,” Solo LaMaze explained. “I was influenced by the greats like Jay Z Wayne, Jeezy and Kanye.”

In addition to drawing inspiration from some of the greatest rappers of all time, Solo Lamaze also found himself producing music and following the sounds of Dr.Dre, Timberland, Mannie Fresh, DJ Paul and Juicy J.

This desire to create led Solo LaMaze to opening his own studio called Organized Swagg where before the age of 18 he subsequently released several projects including Bowel Movement, Beast Mode Vol. 1 & Vol. 2, Rare Form” and “Sushi Sushi Sushi.

“My music is candy with the medicine in it, I entertain and slide in a message simultaneously,” he said.

The philosophy about his music has apparently worked and since then his credits as producer include the likes of David Banner, Beanie Sigel, Juvenile, Sean Paul of the Young Bloods, Kool Daddy Fresh, Twista, J-Kwon, Mr. Serve On, and Young Bleed.

Also, ironically besides Lil Wayne, Solo LaMaze was the last person to work with Grammy Award winning rapper Static Major before his untimely death, an experience he’ll never forget.

Reflecting on the past, but still looking forward Solo Lamaze is getting ready to tour in South Florida in February and has several spot dates where he is planning on performing through the Winter.

Until then Solo is grateful for the outpouring of support he has received over the years as he continues pushing his music.

“Thank for all the support you guys been giving me and I wont let you down. Relax and Be safe tho,” he concluded.
