K-Major – Shut It Down (ft. August Alsina)

by .

PRODUCERS: Nash B, DJ Spinz & Murphy Kid
PROJECT: Category V | Listen

New Orleans native and rising star August Alsina gets featured on K-Major‘s new single “Shut It Down”. Produced by Nash B, DJ Spinz & Murphy Kid, the reverbed and solace chords are a literal shock wave. This is not the only new track from Alsina, Meek Mill‘s remix to his “Right There” song is also a stunna. With a recent South Florida performance at FIU’s Bayfest, Alsina’s full-bodied music hits the road with the upcoming May 30th 103.5 Beat Down. “Shut It Down” is included on the April edition of K-Major’s Category V album. Check it out above for yourself.

IAMSU! – All On Me (ft. Kool John)

LATEST RELEASE: Eyes On Me EP | Download

While currently on the road for his first headlining tour, HBK Gang’s IAMSU! release a new single, “All On Me”, featuring Kool John. This new single is darker and druggier than what we’re use to from Suzy, but still dope nonetheless.  Catch the HBK Gang artist in your city for the ‘Eyes On Me’ Tour, titled after his most recent EP.  Check out “All On Me” above.

Derek Wise – Hunnid

by .

PRODUCERS: Most High, Christo Anesti & Geoff Wood

Toronto’s own and XO affiliate Derek Wise puts up or shuts up in the new track “Hunnid” produced by Most High, Christo Anesti and Geoff Wood. The reverbed bass and synthesizer creeps up under the Get Home Safe artist’s grimey voice to produce a splintered sound. The overall background feels like an intergalactic exploration where Wise overdoses on ‘hunnids’. Besides infusing Trick Daddy‘s quotable “uh huh, ok, what’s up, shut up”, the tune cuts off with a ghostly exit. As we anticipate the wait for the upcoming Mom’s Basement release, you can check out Wise’s latest offering above.

A$AP Twelvyy – Lord

by .

PRODUCERS: Buda Da Future & GrandMusik

A$AP Mob’s A$AP Twelvyy released his new single “Lord” produced by Buda Da Future and GrandMusik. It has a share of hi-hats and percussion that creates a light traditional sound and inspires a head banging flow. The A$AP Mob member definitely shows his love for his crew, and his idea of love over money shines throughout the piece. His death reference “I love my niggas to death” is also portrayed in the artwork for “Lord” as he tightly grips a scythe. With no news of an upcoming mixtape or album, we’ll just have to wait and see what Twelvyy does next, but until then check out his new joint above.

DJ Mustard – Mr. Get Dough (ft. Drakeo the Ruler, Choice & RJ)

by .

ALBUM: 10 Summers | iTunes

Taking a break from electronic and trap, DJ Mustard enlists Drakeo the Ruler, Choice & RJ for his new track “Mr. Get Dough”. The lively beats and mellow piano rifts give the song an easy going vibe. After DJ Mustard’s debut album 10 Summers, he has partnered up with Norwegian producer Cashmere Cat for “Ice Rink” and teamed up with DJ Snake for a remix of Zhu’s “Faded”. Mr. Get Dough has a similar title to Drakeo the Ruler’s “Get Dough” song but presents a different sound. Both RJ and DJ Mustard are featured on the Pu$haz Ink Record Label. It’s fun to see DJ Mustard come out with new joints, but until then check out his new song, “Mr. Get Dough”.

UPCOMING MIGO’S ALBUM: Y.R.N.: The Album | June 16
LATEST OG MACO RELEASE: I Made This Shit Before “U Guessed It” | Stream

Migos member Quavo lets it all out on OG Maco’s “Good Gracious”.  Quavo visits his roots, “I was on the block…selling medicine to the patients” and gives us his present, “Now it’s 45k in arenas ho.” Even though Quavo’s financial stability has grown, the song conveys how others had low expectations for his future. The track bleached with auto tune is just a teaser for the upcoming Migos and OG Maco ‘Young Rich Nation’ Tour hitting up 23 venues starting this May.
