Nia Ray – Lowkey (Official Music Video)

Produced by: Aiko Gamma

Directed by: Bianca Alberti

Last year in November, South Florida artist Nia Ray delivered her soulful music video “911”. Today, the songwriter is back & this time she released a bubbly vibe entitled ” Lowkey”. In the Bianca Alberti directed visual, Nia is taking us through a couple of colorful aesthetically pleasing scenes where she’s getting glammed up with her girlfriend. Throughout the produced Aiko Gamma beat, Nia vocalizes over the catchy poppy flow with lyrics like ” I ain’t tryna keep it lowkey, I rock my diamonds and my Louis V And I don’t need no n*gga on me“. We chatted with Nia Ray & she gave us a quick rundown behind the concept of “Lowkey “:

The concept for the video was basically just me showing off in a bunch of different outfits, getting done up, having my homegirl do my hair like I’m getting ready to go out. Lowkey is basically about embracing being a bad bitch. Sometimes you feel like you have to dim your light because you can tell people are uncomfortable or overwhelmed or jealous with your presence and how bright you shine, but this song is about saying IDGAF I’m gonna wear that outfit that’s a little extra & look bad as f*ck & be me. I don’t care if I get side-eyes or people say I’m doing too much. I really just made the song because I wanted a fun song to be able to perform for a performance I had back in December.
