Trilla was a stepping stone for Ross. With it being his second album after Port of Miami, Ross showed not only that he can spit lyrically but he was capable of making hits. Rick Ross crafted memorable singles such as, “The Boss” with T-Pain, the joyful “Here I Am” alongside with Nelly and Avery Storm. He transformed from being a rapper with a mafia persona to a songwriter.
