Fresh off of a promising week of sales of her biggest single to date it looks like “Bodak Yellow” will be the number one record in the country. Making Cardi B the first female rapper to have a sole single hit number one on Billboard’s Top 100. In a haze of an early victory lap and deal sealer, Cardi B dropped the heavily fantasized and highly anticipated remix of “Bodak Yellow” featuring the godfather of that particular flow pattern, Kodak Black, who is still on a strong run after his release of Project Baby 2.
As the world suspected he’d return back to the original ode, Lil Bill decided to take a different route and gave a wild display of his new skill set. Kodak Black holds the lone verse, with Cardi B returning to reprise the ear buzzing chorus. But that doesn’t take away from the greatness of what both tracks are. It isn’t every day that you hear a Bronx and Broward track. So this is one for the history books.
