With a lot of rap music and it’s representers nowadays being clones or followers, authenticity is hard to come by. Especially when it comes to street music. But when were pointed towards Riggs of South Miami Heights, we already knew that we were getting the real deal before we even pressed play. The young outspoken rapper drops off a stellar track called “Tragic”, recounting his mission to the top of success and all the trials that come along with it. Riggs melodically tells us of it all, from groupies lurking to lame rappers collabs, to the opps having to get the button pressed on them. As rhythmic and descriptive as his words are, they suit this Taylor King produced bouncy, electro beat perfectly, putting you in a head bobbing trance of sorts. Listen up close as we tend to tell the future a lot (and we get it right a lot too). Riggs has the potential to keep this streak of authenticity in South Florida alive and we have a feeling he will do just that and beyond.
