IndigoChildRick is back at it again! Completely by surprise he dropped a new self produced track on his Soundcloud. “Machine” is a flip of the track “Falsetto” by The-Dream, and it’s a pretty amazing at that. The layering and combination of sounds make you feel as though he made this in another dimension, along with an unbelievable guitar solo by Nuri. With all of the over saturation in the Chicago music scene, its understandable how one can be overlooked. Chai Tulani is a name that the city of Chicago may or may not be too familiar with but that is sure to change in 2016. In 2015, Chai released his #PocketJuice EP — the story of a young artist climbing the proverbial mountain. After the debut of his follow up project, A.L.I.E.N., QuinceLu is back on the move with his debut music video for his track “Unappreciated.” The Lirker-produced track finds QuinceLu spitting on a Boom Bap heavy beat, while he vents the frustration of being unappreciated as an artist. The song reaches a climax towards the end in which Quince delivers his signature flow and sends the song into high energy explosion of lyrical bullets. South Florida emcee MF has been setting himself up to have quite the year in 2016 as he closed out 2015 with some fairly solid releases. MF releases his first record of the new year as he connects with former Poe Boy Records signee, Ghostwridah, to deliver “Higher.” MF & Ghostwridah both show that the South can bring more to the table then just trap rappers as the lyrics are put on spotlight with this one.
