Eddy Braveaux – YKM (ft. Black Kray)

Duval County’s very own Eddy Braveaux is a man of many talents as a producer and rapper. Gearing up to release his upcoming debut project, currently with a disclosed title, the 22-year-old Apply Pressure Int’l affiliate graces Citrus Rap, and most importantly the fans, with a new single called “YKM”: an aggressive banger featuring Virginia’s infamous man of many aliases, Black Kray AKA SICKBOYRARI. Short for “Yuon Know Me,” as repetitively chanted in the catchy chorus, the record is an anthem for people agitated with preconceived judgement and accusations. Those unfamiliar with Mr. Aural Aficionadeaux can look no further than his recent “Florida’s Natural” interview to gain more insight on the young rap phenom. As for the new single, Eddy divulges the origin below in an exclusive quote obtained by Citrus Rap:

I sat on the beat for months, until one day I found myself in the studio listening to it—and it touched a certain anger in my heart that spurred the oncoming of a lot of expression that I had bottled up somewhere deep inside of me; a lot of rage. I ended up writing and recording the whole song that same night, leaving 8 bars open for a feature that I heard in my head while writing to the beat. I reached out to DMV artist who’s work I admire, Goth Money’s own Black Kray. In no more than a week, Kray had the joint done, sent it to me, and it was truly the last piece of the puzzle. Dude had my whole squad “pulling up” tryna “flexikobe.” Unfortunately, the email of which the beat resided in seems to be missing, so there’s no telling who produced the track. The track will find itself on my upcoming project which I cannot reveal the title of just yet.
