Born in Spring Valley, NY, Moe Waveyy found his passion for music in 2004 when he won a Bow Wow Hawaiian punch rap contest when he was 12. A couple years later, he moved to Orlando and started recorded mixtapes in his cousin’s closet. It wasn’t until 2010 did he really start taking his music career seriously. In 2011, the Florida-based rapper released his first official mixtape titled Next Semester hosted by DJ Noize. In the last couple of years, Moe Waveyy dropped multiple projects and most recently opened up for Joey Bada$$, Pro Era, & Vince Staples on the ‘B4DAMONEY’ Tour in November. The following month, he put out his 6-track Jazz-inspired Rhythm and Blues EP and also performed at our very own “Homegrown” Showcase. For 2015, Moe Waveyy looks to keep the momentum going with more EPs set to drop later this year. Look out for Moe Waveyy hitting the stage this weekend in Miami at Rolling Loud Festival on February 28th.
