Today, the duo of Flik Melone & Michael Lee known collectively as WRDPLY continue their #SincerelyWRDPLY campaign with the release of a new single titled “Joint Effort.” This song was created with Thanks Joey the night before their performance at Rolling Loud Festival back in February. In WRDPLY‘s words, “the vibes were very real & inspirational that night, and after a lot of trees were passed around, “Joint Effort” was born.”

What’s sweet and sounds great in your earlobes? Why Electric Kandy that is, the new genre of music created by Lake Placid, Florida artist, TAi Pride. Being brought up in a talented house hold with his father being none other than former WCW/ECW professional wrestler Tyree “The Haitian Sensation” Pride (which is the origin of his stage name) and his Gospel singing sister Leona Williams, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. With the upcoming release of his 9th mixtape, Electric Kandy, TAi Pride is sure to have you in a musical sugar rush that will leave your eardrums pleasant and yearning for more.
The PBR&B Hip-Hop MC’s buzz has grown tremendously around the south from the exposure on the road, blogs, radio interviews & with acknowledgement from majors such as Thisis50.com’s Young Jack Thriller. He has opened for the likes of Cappadonna of the legendary Wu-Tang Clan, legendary B-boy dancer Crazy Legs, along with many more. With every exciting & rare performance, TAi leaves the venue with a few new “Kandies” which is his term for his fans. Having a original style and a stage presence, none of his performances are the same or routine, leaving the crowd surprised with every movement. “I use my performances as therapy sessions,” says Pride, “I interact and express myself to them because I know a lot of them can relate to my stories, and it feels good to know one of your favorite MCs really understand you and what your going through.”
Pride‘s versatility is one of the most honest and original with either a lyrical pop song or deep rooted hip hop joint with more word play than Scrabble or the harsh realities of being a unsigned struggling artist trying to come up in the game. Either way, the music is honest and heartfelt. Pride makes his own original beats, films and direct his own music videos, mixes and masters all his recordings, does his graphic art and even books his own shows — this one man show does it all.
With the kandy jar faithfully waiting for another piece of some Electric Kandy from TAi Pride, it’s just a matter of time before the rest of the world gets a taste.
Fresh off the release of his new Wifisfuneral 2 mixtape, the South Floridian rapper is back with a new visual for his single “Today, War” directed by Jorgie Films and Denzel Curry. Though the visual doesn’t offer much, the energy that the two bring in the video are unmatched and is guaranteed to get anyone watching to start head-bobbing enough to break their neck. Check out the clip above.
Uno Hype is back with his latest audible effort in “Celebration,” a lively, uptempo cut that features some fast-paced, energy-filled lines from Uno, who’s been quietly behind the scenes working on new music and his production. It features fellow DMV and Hostile Youth rep Vaunfe, who closes this one out with a smooth verse. This track, also produced by Uno, is just a small taste of what’s to come. Keep an eye out for more content coming soon from the Hostile Youth camp.
Last Friday at STEAM in Miami, Post Malone came through and shut the show down for his first headlining show in the Sunshine State. You can see all the photos captured that night by Jorgie Films for CITRUSRAP.COM below. Shout out to SCL Creative, Castar App and Hidden Ruby Live for curating this dope event.
