JBdaPilot takes a leaf out of Destiny’s Child’s book, sampling their 1999 hit “Say My Name,” reworking it into his own 2016 version with “Hometown Girl.” The C. Justice and Lex Q-produced track finds the Virginia Beach, VA native narrating a proverbial love story of college romance. The record is inspired by his own personal experiences, with JBdaPilot detailing what-if’s about his girl’s whereabouts all the way to him making a cheating admission. The melodic fifty-fifty sing-rap provides the perfect medium for the college kid to dish on his relationship distresses.

Rich Rillz – Richer Than Your Favorite Rapper (Mixtape)
Straight from 127th Street and 8th Ave of Harlem, Rich Rillz delivers his newest mixtape Richer Than Your Favorite Rapper. Mentored by Harlem’s own Max B, Rich Rillz puts forth a rock-solid effort on the 13-track body of work, produced by Triple A in its entirety.
Like the project’s title, Rich is here to affirm his self-assurance and station in the rap game. A refreshing switch-up from the typical dope-boy narrative, Rich has a different movement, the GMB movement, which is short for “Grown Man Business.” His grind is enthused by getting out there and hustling for your respective grind. The money won’t fall into your lap and Rich’s base-heavy bangers motivate that hustler’s ambition.

Directed by Abstrakte for music video production company Mad Ruk (Future’s “Low Life” featuring The Weeknd, Alessia Cara’s “Here”), the video shows Raz riding around Toronto city streets with trick bikes, accompanied by golden apes, A Bathing Ape Japanese clothing brand gear, while a plethora of sharp multi angle camera shots flaunt an assortment of stimulating hip hop artifacts that pay homage to one of rap’s golden era’s.
