MC Kenna – Stylistica (EP)
After dropping HWY’98 back in April, Tampa rapper MC Kenna returns with a new EP release entitled Stylistica. The 7-track EP is about moving away, hiding out for the sake of sanity. Written in a transitional period between leaving high school and moving out his hometown, Kenna wrote a lot of the material sober in order to keep up with his life. Stylistica includes work from Vinny Virgo and Chester Watson in order to craft the sound that Kenna describes as a “coming of age but I was already a grown man” wave. In an email with Kenna, this is what he had to say:
This will be the last work of mine, at least for a while, as I look into real life. It’s a constant push and pull for artists to dive into their craft while simultaneously keeping their head above water. This is me trying to survive.
