Rob Self proves his lyrical prowess yet again with his new single “Popular” which he produced himself. Rob recently moved onto the Queen West strip in downtown Toronto and he quickly became a known and respected artist in the hippest area of the city. His new song Popular boasts about his charisma and accomplishments being the new kid on the block over an infectious bass bumping beat that really grasps the Toronto feel.

KZ, who usually plays the role of an engineer/producer for such artist as the sLumps, Don Trip, Starlito & Lil Wayne, has released a unique remix to Puff Daddy’s “Workin” single.  The rework also features a guest feature from Swamp Posse’s own Keez who never fails to deliver. You can also expect KZ to drop his spLash EP before the year ends so keep an eye out for that.  For now, you can turn up to the new remix above.

 

DJ Hazy – Florida Trill Part 2 [Mix]

DJ Hazy is back with his latest half hour mix of the best Florida rappers on the come up appropriately titled ‘Florida Trill Part 2.’ Through out the 30-minute mix, you can hear familiar voices like Robb Bank$, Buffet Boys, Swamp Posse, and more. Tanta T – Baddest

While attending college in Florida in 2004, Tanta‘s interest for music spiked as she began to dapple in the creation of sounds and singing. After a few years of perfecting her craft she came through with her debut EP in 2012 entitled ‘Jamerican‘. The project focused on the reggae infused sounds often found in Jamaica with the more modernized urban approach that R&B carried in the US. Stay true to her Carribean roots, the new single seems to fit the personality and demeanor of her perfectly. Take a listen above.

Solomonilla has been enjoying a nice buzz since his last single “Want To,” and decided to release a short EP entitled 2Piece to celebrate its success. It’s comprised of “No Breaks” and “Flyyer,” with the former taking on a more serious tone, and “Flyyer” being more fun and bouncy. Both records feature Solo’s signature energy and versatile rhyming style. This is just a teaser as he prepares his next project, which is without a date and title right now.
