Premiere: Shahid – Sarasota Sound (Video)

Because we’re Florida’s premiere blog, Sarasota’s own Shahid has decided to drop his debut visual with us here at CITRUSRAP.COM for “Sarasota Sound.” In this clip, the rapper shows off his beautiful city while he drops some heavy bars over a Joey Bada$$ instrumental. In his own words:

The point of the song is to represent Sarasota, a place that doesn’t get much recognition. It has a true sense of “putting your city on the map” I figured, why try to fit in with what everyone else is doing? I’d rather showcase the beautiful city I live in and what we do. Take a look into my world.

Get familiar with Shahid and watch the new visual above.

They influenced me heavy along with the other genres that I love” He credits guys like Axl Rose Eddie Vedder, RHCP etc. for his stage performance. “Those are the ones I study & enjoy watching, just because I’m a huge fan. The face paint? would be due to Brandon Lee, Sting & The Ultimate Warrior.” It shows in his performances & since he has opened for such acts like Machine Gun Kellu, Post Malone, Joey Bada$$, Ab-Soul, Kyle, Curren$y, Twiztid, Bizarre of D-12, Twisted Insane & Juicy J, let’s not forget to mention his antics.
