Shahid – Verse 3: New Beginnings [EP]

After dropping the visual to “Sarasota Sound” last Sunday, Shahid returns with his 6-track EP, Verse 3: New Beginnings. Formerly known as ‘E-MAN’, he has undergone a name change of sorts. You may know him as the actor in many shows with Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe, the active man on the scene hosting your local community event, or even the young motivator mentoring and empowering the youth to realize their dreams. The 6-track release is a a hip-soul musical piece that tells the story of his transformation and the start of a new beginning.  In his own words, this is what Shahid had to say about the project:

It’s basically a return of sorts, I took some time away from music to focus on personal shit… now I’m back with this tape that pretty much chronicles everything I went through over the past year or so… For my supporters or whoever cares you know? It touches on family issues, my upbringing, my relationships, how I feel about my city… It’s really personal. It’s an introduction of Shahid and something that basically anybody can relate to… It’s short. I know I gotta earn your ear as a new artist, so here’s my first effort. Give it a listen, if you like it… Let me know & share it.

Without further ado, stream the new project from the upcoming Sarasota artist above.
