November 14th, 2015 was special night in Tampa. The Lightning played the Panthers (we lost unfortunately), the weather was cold and most importantly the ‘Year Of The Savage’ Tour has finally arrived in the bay. The 2nd to last stop on the tour so we all knew we were going to get a very exciting performance. Kids danced in the venue impatiently waiting for Banksquiat to take the stage.

The night really began to take shape after some of the smaller openers finished their sets. When Tyla Yaweh grabbed the mic the crowd suddenly began to have a little life in them. He blessed us with “Dirty Vans” not only once but twice, “White Magic” and more, after turning the crowd up he switched the mood with “4:44 AM.” The rest of Scumbag World joined him on stage to perform “Trenches” (twas lit). Soon after Tyla, Wifisfuneral took the stage and the venue erupted.

The Lightskin Trick Daddy’s performance ranged from crazy mosh pits, standing in the middle of the crowd spitting bars and dancing. Once the first cords from “SURRRF” came on, all hell broke loose. The crowd sang along to every word Wifi rapped and danced in excitement knowing Mr. Banks was up next.

After countless beat drops and moshes, the Tampa crowd was finally ready for Robb. He ran onto the stage and the crowd chanted all the words to “Buku.” With songs like “Crunch Time,” “Sensational,” “Pressure” and “2PhoneShawty,” it was impossible for the crowd to keep their cool. The older Banksquiat fans got a little treat when he performed “Cadie” from his debut mixtape Calendars released back in 2012. One couldn’t have asked for a more live performance from Robb.

The show was very live, and kids were even getting knocked unconscious in the midst of everything. We can’t wait till Banks stops in Tampa again to bless us with new music.
