As we wait for the release of his sophomore album TDE’s most underrated member Jay Rock blesses us with his latest single “Gumbo” exclusively released on Spotify. Produced by J.LBS the record features some rolling high hats, psychedelic guitar strums, and piercing strings. He approaches the beat with a solid flow to match the mellow vibe of the track, however his delivery is still relentless as he brings the heat with each bar. The hook contributes to the smoothness of the record with a very catchy melody that will have you head bopping in slow motion. After previously releasing “Money Trees Deuce“ and giving us a whole lot of flavor on this record, I think it’s safe to expect nothing but greatness from Jay Rock’s second album which is to be released soon.
