NIKO IS – Repercussions

PRODUCER: Henry Daher

It begins with a subtle “Cortex – Huit Octobre 1971” sample and it isn’t long before it mellows out into something more tranquil and I must say the transitions between sounds are effortless. This dope production is credited to Henry Daher and it’s only right that NIKO IS laid down some solid verses disregarding any “Repercussions” that might come from it. Unlike many rappers in the game today, NIKO has never been afraid to shed light on the real or fake since a youngin’ and this rappetizer reinforces that as he gives us a piece of his mind. Take a listen to this fire from the Orlando duo and if you’re wondering about the inspiration behind this track refer to the tweet below and leave a comment with your thoughts!

Nobodies – Reality Check

PRODUCER: Jahrahmf

After teasing fans on Twitter the Nobodies decided to bless the people with new music. They’re giving everyone a “Reality Check” this time around calling out all the fakes and phonies which is sure to humble a lot of people once they hear this. Jahrahmf produced the track himself which has a kooky and outer space vibe to it and it’s the perfect match for the erratic verses. It’s safe to say they spazzed on this one creating an instant banger, be sure to listen above and check out their solo tracks “Fiend” by MTFR and “All” by Jah.

Noex – Paranormal Activity

Since the release of Labyrinth a few months ago, Noex hasn’t been on earth. However, he’s made a sneak appearance with his latest release “Paranormal Activity” taking us to his ghost dimension. In this daunting track, he brings exposure to the politics behind the way the world works including the corruption and capitalism which isn’t spoken about very often in this generation. It’s also that shit he kicked to well-known emcee Jay Electronica which must have been a very special moment shared between the two. Consider yourself blessed with knowledge and rhymes after you take a listen to this track above and stay tuned for future releases from Noex.

PREMIERE: The Electric Jacket – GTC (Video)

by .

DIRECTOR: P.K. SELLERS

As Florida’s music scene continues to expand and gain popularity, you might initially think it only includes vocalists and emcees due to their existence in large quantities. However, if you take a closer look you’ll also find many great bands like The Electric Jacket in this case who are creating a new wave blurring the lines between indie, pop, and rock. Their sound is eccentric and upbeat which is evident in their latest release “Going Thru Changes” that they’ve blessed us with visuals for. The earthly scenery along with the white backdrop gives the P.K.SELLERS directed video a pure and triumphant sensation complimenting the vocals appropriately. Change doesn’t seem like such a bad thing after all, so begin your journey by clicking play above and leave your thoughts in the comments below!

Kim – Smoothest Gemini

Engineered By: Damijin’ Myndz
LATEST PROJECT: The Polymath | Listen

Born in Miami but coming out of Orlando, we’ve had our eyes on Kim for awhile now and he’s definitely someone you should be looking out for. He proves to be the “Smoothest Gemini” in his latest release which features him flourishing over Partynextdoor’s Break from Toronto. The twins take turns boasting their talents fluctuating between heavenly vocals and enchanted melodies hitting each note, to spitting bars and switching flows with ease. The transition between the two throughout the track are impressive and result in a very soothing record. Vibe out to the track above and check out Kim’s latest project The Polymath as well!

DREW SWACE – SWACEY: Blue Ranger [Mixtape]

After killing numerous shows and becoming known for his rebellious persona, DREW SWACE has finally released his first full length project, SWACEY:Blue Ranger. The tweet went out at exactly 7:36PM yesterday and it spread instantly like a disease, taking over timelines all over South Florida. The 14-track mixtape includes production from Maharba Leahcim, HUSH FORTE, Rhyme Killer, Yusie Mano, MindMade, Fvll, Hanza, Eros, and Flame Alkahest giving the project a diverse sound. SWACE holds his own throughout the tape and although features are present they are limited to Noex, ApolloFu$e, Baz The Nomad, and Rmromrzn. In addition to the aggressive flows and bold sounds we’re used to, the Blue Ranger gives us a deeper and more personal look into who he is taking us through the highs and lows for a more balanced perspective. SWACEY has definitely demonstrated his ability to put together a cohesive project showcasing his talents as a man of many flows, sounds, and styles. This tape is sure to be in steady rotation this winter and I look forward to seeing these tracks live at upcoming shows.
