Where are you originally from?
I’m originally from southeastern CT. Born in NYC.
When did music start showing up in your life more and more?
It started showing up more when I was 22. I just got back from a 6 month tour in the desert, and realized this is what I want to do. If I could go to the desert and serve my country then I could do anything I put my mind to. At 23 I already had songs with Lil Wayne and Rich The Kid.
What are some early influences that shape your music today?
Tupac, Nas, Big Pun, Jay-Z, Big L, Dr. Dre. Ice Cube.
If you could work with anyone in the game right now, who would it be?
I would love to work with YBN Cordae, Lil Durk and YNW Melly. They all are very dope in their own way.
What is your Florida connection?
I remember when I was stationed in Charleston Air Force Base and I would go to Florida a lot. I became really cool with Grownboitrap and AyoJuan from WeTheBestMusic. Very dope people.
Could you explain the military side of your life that has played an impactful part?
Well before I served in the military I didn’t have any money. Once I was in I was able to invest in myself. I learned what it meant being disciplined and having a good work ethic. And now I’m just applying everything I learned into the music industry.
Where are some places you would love to take your musical talents too?
I would love to move to LA or Florida but I’m currently debating right now. Being close to New York City is very important right now.
What else can we expect from Dash Flash?
Expect having fun in my music but also hearing about real life situations from time to time. Expect a young guy who needed to sacrifice a lot of his time to go after his dream. Did it with no team I put my own money up. I set my own schedule.
Anything else you would like to tell us?
