  • Who is Cherele? IMG_5178

    A creator

  • Give me a day in the life of Cherele.

I wake up, thank God, and proceed to put energy towards my purposes.

  • Besides music, do you have any another passion that keeps you motivated?

Hard to say, but sources of motivation for me stem from love, nature, architecture, visual art, film. Things like that.

  • What drove you to start creating music?

I feel like it was just engrained in me. Since a child, I had a natural ability to make melodies and write lyrics.

  • What is your opinion about the uprising Florida underground music scene?

I think it’s beautiful. the scene has definitely evolved, and it
excites me to see all of the talent that’s coming out right now.

  • From moving to Florida to Atlanta, has the transition evolved your sound?

During the transition, I really evolved as a human and more importantly as a woman, so my sound reflects that.

“I wake up, thank God, and proceed to put energy towards my purposes.”

  • If you had to work with anyone (alive/deceased/local/mainstream/legends) who would it be and why?

I’d hit that Ye button real fast. And Missy Elliott as well. Maybe get Amy Winehouse on a hook. All different energies and creative minds I’d love to collide with.

  • IMG_5177After not releasing music for almost a year, do you think it leads you into a clear direction with your upcoming project?

I believe so. it allowed me to take a step back, grow, and find new inspiration. It was almost like I hit a refresh button.

  • What was the original concept behind your latest video “Yetti”?

The power of women and nature and how they both intertwine. We purposely cast 2 powerful creative women (love to Kangie and Dash Romero) to represent the different types of feminine energy.

  • What can we expect from your upcoming EP?

Expect a new experience, expect amazing production. LeMieuX and I always make magic together.

  • What message do you want to send out to any new coming artists who are searching for their own sound?

Don’t be too hard on yourself. be patient and allow the growth to happen naturally. Always remain in tune with your true self; that’s most important.
